Julia Fouser (b.1992) is a multidisciplinary artist interested in the overlap between the physical body and its study—biology and medicine—and the expression of the immaterial, intangible inner world—spirituality and emotion. She appropriates imagery from materials that are part of the American medical-industrial complex and transforms them to express her own thoughts and feelings, reclaiming her voice. She completed her Bachelor of Arts at University of California, Santa Cruz and her Master of Fine Arts at American University in Washington, DC.
